02nd June 2006 : World Domination

It seems like the writing is on the wall - Chelsea to dominate world football over the next few years - either that or we set ourselves up to do a Real Madrid - either way you will either love or hate Chelsea next year.
John Obi Mikel

Transfers
With Kalou, Shevchenko and Ballack all confirmed and Obi Mikel very likely, Chelsea have strengthened their squad of players massively and with Ashley Cole or Roberto Carlos likely to follow then it would seem that if Mourinho can mold them into a cohesive unit as he has done so well in the past with the players at his diposal:

Then - watch out world!

Contrary to my last post, Shevchenko has been given the number 7 shirt by Chelsea and his website is Sheva7. Michael Ballack will probably adorn the number 13 shirt (see website Michael-Ballack.com).

The truly notorious and unreliable 'Daily Star' have Ashley Cole moving to Chelsea in a ₤20m move this summer as Roberto Carlos seems to be trying to get more out of Real Madrid before choosing Chelsea. In fact Chelsea have already given the down payment to the FA after tapping up Ashley Cole last summer.

Hypocritical Arsenal

Its funny how hypocritical the Arsenal management can be after making such a fuss over Ashley Cole last year, it now 'allegedly' transpires that the Arsenal Mafia secretly and deviously laundered money into Belgian side Beveren to gain control mischeviously contrary to FIFA and UEFA rules.
Well after all the fuss they made last year I hope they pay a comparable price to Chelsea with a large fine and mud on their two faces and stop being such whinging hypocrites in future. We all know shit goes on in the cloak and dagger world of player agents and with such large sums involved these days it it hardly suprising. It would seem that David Dein has been following the Juventus management style abusing his power within the FA to Arsenal's advantage (or Chelsea's disadvantage).

The World Cup

With Del Horno's injury there is no need for Chelsea fans to follow Spain any more who are now comprised of Liverpool, Arsenal & Barcelona players - so we can hate them instead. But we do have Ukraine to replace them. Let me predict here and now that The Ukraine will be the suprise team of the tournament and will do a Croatia/South Korea/Japan and make the Quarter or Semi finals.

With the World Cup just a week away, the excitement mounts - looking forward to tomorrow's drubbing of the Reggae Boyz by the England Lions - and then on to The World Cup where Chelsea players will dominate the proceedings.

Euro Under 21

Sorry to see Chelsea's last interest in the Euro under 21's die with the 3-2 loss of France to Holland with our exciting young midfeilder Lassana Diarra. He has been billed as the successor to Claude Makelele for both Chelsea and France.

In the most exciting development so far this summer - it looks like Chelsea are finally going to get their man with Andriy Shevchenko and AC Milan both announcing his imminent departure to Chelsea.
Shevchenko

However it looks like the negotiations over price could drag on for the whole summer - just like the Essien debacle last year where Lyon wanted ₤34m but eventually settled for ₤25m. I have a feeling the numbers could be a little more frightening this time - with reports indicating Milan turned down a bid of ₤50m last year from Chelsea.

He is so adored in The Ukraine (adding another team for Chelsea supporters to follow in the World Cup) that his image is on a recent issue of postage stamps. Do not be suprised if he adorns the Number 23 shirt for Chelsea as he is a great admirer of Michael Jordan the American Basketball legend - so much so, in fact that Sheva's son was named Jordan. So just like David Beckham at Real Madrid he may well lay claim to the number 23.

Kalou

It would seem that Salomon Kalou (Forward, 20 yrs old) of PSV Eindhoven (15 goals in 35 matches)and the Ivory Coast could well be on his way to Chelsea and according to press reports.
John Mikel Obi (Midfield, 20 yrs old) of Lyn Oslo and Nigeria could also be freed up to join Chelsea.

Roberto Carlos has also stated that he has been offered a three year deal by Chelsea but is waiting to see if Real Madrid will offer an extended contract.
Carlos Tavez (Forward, 19 years old) of Corinthians and Argentina has also claimed that Chelsea have made an offer for him.

24th May 2006 : THE X-FACTOR

Vinnie Jones - ex hard man defender at Chelsea is set to make a modern footballers wage at last as he stars in the new X-Men 3 film out this weekend as the unstoppable 'Juggernaut'.

Well no squeezing of Paul Gascoine's bollocks and apparently he must survive in the film as he states that he has already signed up to make X-men 4 and 5.

According to a recent article in the Sunday Times, Vinnie now enjoys the sport of fly fishing and explains that his marriage was saved after he gave up drinking (it reduced his tendancy for violent behaviour) and he has hired a PR team so that people will take his acting career seriously. you can't be serious......

You can see Vinnie's trailer for the film on You Tube by clicking here

Theo Walcott - now there's another serious matter - Jose explained that he would have played two games for Chelsea this season if he had joined the champions but..... you know Arsenal could have done with him on the bench as their secret weapon in that last five minutes of the Champions league final - oh how Wenger must be feeling - if only he had taken his own advice... but then England would have been robbed of their secret weapon......

According to Stevie Gerrard

"We don't know anything about him....but he is incredibly fast and skillful".

OK Stevie - either you know him or you don't - just stick to scoring impressive goals in cup finals and let your football do the talking....

Lets hope Gerrard can do the same for England in the World Cup.
